The Southern stadium is located at Sports Park Drive, Wilfred Taylor Reserve, States Road, Morphett Vale.  It is a dedicated Table Tennis venue of elevent tables.  Each court is self contained in respect of lighting and barriers.  The floor surface is specifically designed with a cushion underlay.  The Centre has accessible change rooms, showers and toilets, office, meeting room and courtyard with built in BBQ.  There is also a canteen available to those in attendance at the venue, providing for the sale of snacks, refreshments and a wide range of table tennis equipment.  If hiring Southern Table Tennis, potential exists to also hire an adjoining function room and bar facilities.

Monday 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm – Public Session (open to all)
Tuesday 9.00 am to noon – Social Table Tennis
Tuesday 7.00 pm for  7.30 to 8.30 pm session – Junior coaching / competition during School terms
Wednesday 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm – Winter / Spring / Summer competition night.
Thursday 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm – Winter / Spring / Summer competition night.
Friday 9.00 am to noon – Social Table Tennis
Friday 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm – Public Session (open to all)
Sunday 9.00 am to noon – Public Session (open to all)

Competitions

Competition play is available throughout the whole year (3 seasons) and caters for all age groups and standards of play.

Social Play

A social group (senior citizens, housewives, unemployed, shift workers) regularly meet on Tuesday, Friday or Sunday mornings for a hit, a cup of tea/coffee and a chat.

Public Session

These sessions are for Members practice and the general public to come out for a friendly hit of table tennis with family members and friends.

 Coaching

Southern is fortunate to have amongst its members several nationally accredited Table Tennis coaches, each of whom undertake individual or group coaching.  These coaches help us to promote the game of Table Tennis in Primary and Secondary Schools and ensure anyone (this includes adults) who wishes to improve their skill level in the game has that opportunity.  If interested contact Maurice Quinn on 0411 042 320.

Hire Details

Southern’s Centre, situated at Wilfred Taylor Reserve, Sports Park Drive, Morphett Vale, is an 11 table stadium in individual court areas (10 x 5 metres), has a wooden floor with cushion underlay and has good lighting.  Try Table Tennis as a social group activity, birthdays or School sports activity.

50 spectator chairs are spread around 10 small tables down the centre isle.

The Centre is equipped with a PA system.

There is a canteen available to those in attendance at the Centre, providing for the sale of snacks and light refreshments.

Shower and toilet facilities (including accessible facilities).

Outdoor entertainment area (built in BBQ).

Meeting room seats 15 people with TV and VCR equipment. Suitable for small conferences away from the business environment. Would also be suitable for social and sporting groups committee meetings.

Sealed lined car parking available immediately in front of the complex.

These facilities are available most days and on weekends. The Centre will only be opened outside of normal opening hours if a minimum of 5 tables are hired and it is for a period of one hour or more.

(The Centre is connected to the South Coast Sports and Social Club (SCSSC) and by separate arrangement access can be made available to a licensed bar and function area.)

Southern stocks a wide range of table tennis equipment, including the well known Butterfly brand.  If you need advice on purchase, a bat made up or rerubbered, we can provide these services.
